Electrode Milling Cutter for Stationary Welding Guns

With stationary welding guns, the tip dresser must be as flexible as a robot, in order to “approach” the cap. The mobile devices called “swing-arm mechanisms” have become so sophisticated in the course of product evolution that the highest possible number of applications can be covered. These include:

• selection of pneumatic or electrical operation
• pneumatic or electrical control
• adjustable milling position (up to 1.2 m from rotation point) through 4 degrees of freedom
• variable swing angles (60° to 105°)

The proven E2 or L7 is used as the milling cutter. The stability of the construction and the drive design assure that positioning occurs repeatedly without vibrations.
